Duncan Grant- Self Portrait 1920

Duncan Grant was a Scottish painter whose style seems fairly post-impressionistic. In fact, a couple of his paintings remind me a bit of Henri Matisse.

There are a lot of self-portraits out there, but for some reason this one continues to be my favorite; I love it how only one of his eyes catches the light and you're not quite sure what he's thinking.

He was about 35 when he painted this
